What makes Minor White a great photographer?
After the second World War Minor white was one of the best-known names in photography until the end of the 1970's.He was a religious man whose whole life was a spiritual journey.Minor white was a great teacher.He used to take pictures of spiritually empty landscapes.
His grandfather was a keen amateur photographer and also owned a fine collection of lantern slides with many classic images of the Civil War and the opening up of the American West by Alexander Gardner, Timothy O'Sullivan and others. White started taking his own pictures when he was given a Box Brownie camara when he was around eight years old.White went to university of Minnesota to study a botany course. During the time he was studying he became more interested in poetry and creative writing, and ended up in 1933 with a degree in botany with a minor in English.
Minor white served in the u.s army from 1942 to 1945.Participating in the battle of the Philippines and was awarded a bronze star. I think he is a person to follow because he was judge for been a homosexual and never give up.He is a dedicated person that works hard.

Minor White
Minor white was an American photographer, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in (1908-1977).He was an American photographer, educator, poet and critic. I decided to used him ,because he used the same textural for photography as i do. He usually take pictures of landscapes, bush, a tree, cracks in the road, or even a rusted up car.
He studied botany at the University of Minnesota.He work on odd jobs before he started concentrating on photography.He used to work as a photographer for the works progress administration in oregon.In 145 he moved to new york city, where he studied at the university of columbia.
In 1946 in California school of fine arts he worked as an assistant to Ansel Adams.White co-founded the magazine "aperture"with Adams, Lange, and Beaumont and Newhall. White became the Director of the California school.During this year he did a lot of work and accomplish a lot of stuff.

william eggleston
William eggleston was born in Menphis Tennessee July 27, 1939.William was interested in visual media and audio technology as a child.He attend a lot of different universities, but never earn a degree in any.During college his interest in photography grow.He got a camara from his friend and started taking pictures.
He was introduce to a lot of people and someone thought it was a surprising work.William taught at Harvard in 1973and 1974 that is where he prepared his first portfolio, entitled 14 pictures in (1974).He became known as"the father of color photography" for his striking photos, events and landescapes in the south.He won the Hasselblad foundation internacional award in photography in 1988, the Gold Medal for photography from the national arts club in 2003 and was awarded the Getty lifetime achievement award from internacional center of photography in 2004. He has travel to a lot of places like Europe.
